New in 2012 to the Faculty at Santa Monica Conservatory, Lyndy McGrody strives to bring the best qualities of her own schooling to each private lesson. Her experiences as a performer allow her to teach students to build confidence in their abilities and to cultivate passion for their art. She enjoys working with each student to further their talents while having fun with music.
Lyndy received her Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. She is currently enrolled in the Graduate Certificate program at USC to further her studies.
She has performed with orchestras at Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. She is also an accomplished chamber musician and has studied and performed chamber music at the International Studies Institute at Palazzo Rucellai in Florence, Italy.
